Larche went on to say that Croatia's wish to be secured a transitional period due to agriculture issues and those in the judiciary was understandable, as the EU is not just an economic union, but also a legal alliance.
Despite the economic crunch, France is among the leading investors in Croatia, but both sides expressed interest in upgrading the economic, cultural and education cooperation.
Croatian parliament speaker Luka Bebic said this was a historic first visit by a French parliament speaker to Croatia and would spark further cooperation between the two parliaments and countries overall.
