Croatia, November 25 (CD) – Some 11 people have died from complications brought on by pandemic flu in Croatia to date, the Health Ministry said on Wednesday.
Up until last week, some 13,960 cases were registered, including those confirmed by laboratory tests and clinical cases.
So far in Croatia, 25,876 people have been infected, of whom nearly 25,000 have recovered without any complications.

Croatian Parliament Endorses the Croatia-Slovenia Arbitration Agreement
Croatia, November 22 (CD) – The Croatian Parliament MPs have given their support to the arbitration agreement signed between Croatia and Slovenia paving the way for the border issue between the two countries to be finally resolved.
PM Jadranka Kosor said speaking to MPs prior to the vote that all had been done that could be done and that Croatia was on the right path.
Some 126 MPs voted in favour of the agreement, while six were against.
Among those against it was the current SDP presidential candidate Ivo Josipovic and Ivica Pancici of the SDP, as well as Damir Kajin of IDS another presidential candidate.
The fortunes of the two said presidential candidates may be affected by this vote in a positive or negative way, depending on the views on the issue by their potential supporters.
A 121.4 Billion Kuna Budget Proposed for Croatia in 2010
Croatia, November 22 (CD) – Croatian Finance Minister Ivan Suker and PM Jadranka Kosor have unveiled the budget for 2010 amounting to 121.4 kuna.
Kosor said that the government would be closely watching the situation and if possible would scrap the so-called ‘crisis tax’ even before the end of 2010 as was planned.
Kosor announced cutting of subsidies to shipyards by 180 million kuna and revision of agriculture ones.
She also said the public administration would go through restructuring that would mean getting rid of the excess workforce and brining in experts in the field.
Kosor also said that she would look into managerial contracts of public companies and insisted on the cutting of the wages’ by 10 percent by the end of 2010.
