EU Earmarks € 3.5 Billion for Project in Croatia during First Two Years of Future Membership

Croatia, December 7 (CD) – The EU Ministerial Council has approved the European Commission proposal on Croatia being given €3.5 billion for its projects during the first two years of its EU membership.

In order for Croatia to be given these funds it needs to be able to manage the funds in line with the EU legislation.

However, the annual membership of the EU will cost Croatia €600 million per year.

Despite Claims that Swine Flu Vaccine is Safe Croats not Queueing for Shots

Croatia, December 7 (CD) – Croatia has spent some 70 million kuna on swine flu vaccine that no one wants.
Despite assurances given by the Agency for Drugs and Medical Products, Croats are not flocking to be inoculated due to bad publicity that the vaccine had been given in the media.
The Health Minister Darko Milinovic had been vaccinated himself a few days ago to prove that all was well with the vaccine, but it seems that Croats are more scared of the vaccine than of getting the flu.
